Why we do what we do

We want explorers and miners to make the fastest best-informed decisions in the field or in the mine, in as near to real time as possible, and certainly same day!

Portable PPB since starting our journey in 2018

Formed an international partners (sponsorship) program with more than 20 of the leading gold exploration and mining companies to assist with the R&D necessary to commercialise the product

Collected, and analysed 100s of Certified Reference Materials (CRM) of various gold concentrations and additional elements, from globally recognised independent CRM manufacturers and analysed these testing for precision and accuracy across a broad range of gold mineralisation styles and gold concentrations.

Collected, tested and analysed over 20,000 samples Drill (RC, AC, Auger, Diamond Core) Soils, Calcrete, laterite, rock chips of ore and alteration (oxidised and fresh) from major gold mineralised sites, including mine sites from around the world.

Established QA/QC procedures and suitability assessment on the most frequently used portable XRF instruments by the exploration/mining industry.

Completed implementation of QA/QC processes and global international delivery mechanisms.

Set up manufacturing capabilities to deliver, consistent highest quality products globally.

Our History

Our History

  • The detectORE™ technology invented by Australia’s national science agency, CSIRO.

  • Portable PPB (PPPB) incorporated by Simon Bolster and Peter Williams. CSIRO opens EOI process. PPPB one of many bidders for the technology.

  • Portable PPB wins EOI process and starts it’s Industry Partners Program and creates relationships with Portable XRF manufacturers. Dr Mel Lintern, detectORE’s inventor joins PPPB as a co-founder.

  • Portable PPB commences R&D at dedicated Canning Vale facility. Awarded prestigious MRIWA R&D grant to undertake extensive fundamental testwork on the detectORE process. Begins extensive tests and trials using CRMs and Partner samples from Australia, Africa and the Americas. First PPPB field trial in the Eastern Goldfields.

  • Portable PPB advances the R&D in preparation for commercial release through acquisition of machinery to make key components in large volumes. Safety Data Sheet commissioned confirming our reagent, GLIX-20™, to be a Non-dangerous, Non-hazardous product. Series A Capital raise completed.

  • Portable PPB continues field trials, limiting the team to Western Australia (drill samples, soils, calcrete & laterite) due to the COVID pandemic.

  • Portable PPB starts field trials in Alaska (diamond drilling)

  • Field and lab trials continue with test units and pre-commercial consumables shipped to USA and West Africa. Portable PPB completes customised engineering project to bulk manufacture key components. Sponsor Release event in West Perth, marking the start of when partners could access the technology and use themselves. Leases new warehouse facility to serve as manufacturing, distribution and training facility. On boards new staff including COO, CCO and expands Board of Director’s experience and skillsets.

  • Portable PPB global commercial release of detectORE-Au

  • Portable PPB wins the WA Innovator of the Year Award for 2023, recognising companies that have developed an innovative product, technology or service. Learn More
